A NATIONAL organisation, which has been set up to promote the interests of local councils that still have their own housing stock, held its first reception in the House of Commons, attended by a senior councillor from Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council.
Since 2010 Lib Dem policies have helped create over a million private sector jobs and have led to a record increase in apprenticeships locally. Cllr Michael Mullaney said, "Despite the economic mess left behind by Labour the Lib Dems, both nationally and locally, have invested in business and apprenticeships to get people back to work. "But we know there's much more to do to rebuild our economy. That's why we are launching our million jobs for a stronger economy campaign starting with a plan for delivering more apprenticeship places."
