The Budget has been welcomed by local Liberal Democrats in Hinckley and Bosworth with 38,4000 local people set to benefit from the Income Tax changes that will deliver an £800 tax cut for people on low and middle incomes.
New incentives for employers to take on apprenticeships are good news for Hinckley and Bosworth, according to the Liberal Democrats.
A major childcare package is set to help 2,970 parents in Hinckley and Bosworth, Liberal Democrat parliamentary spokesman Cllr Michael Mullaney said today. Working families will be given up to £2,000 to ease the cost of childcare as part of a scheme to be rolled out in Autumn 2015. The Government has said it will provide 20 per cent support on childcare costs up to £10,000 per year for each child. For example, it means a family with two children under 12-years-old could benefit by up to £4,000 as a result. Cllr Michael Mullaney said: "Today's news provides a huge boost to hardworking families in Hinckley and Bosworth "The Liberal Democrats are committed to building a stronger economy and a fairer society and this helps children get off to the best start in life." The Government has also said people on Universal Credit will get 85 per cent of childcare costs fully covered. Michael Mullaney added: "These measures will help parents to go to work and provide security for their families."
