Lib Dems Sweep to victory in Burbage County Council election!

The victorious new Lib Dem County Councillor for Burbage Barry Walker said “A huge thank you to everyone who voted for me. It was an honour to get the support of so many residents. Lots of people told me they appreciate the all year round work and campaigning from the local Lib Dem team. Many people also said they were fed up with the failings of the Conservatives nationally and locally and wanted a change.”

“Leader of the Liberal Democrat opposition on Leicestershire County Council Michael Mullaney said “I’m delighted to welcome Barry to the growing Lib Dem group. Barry has been a great campaigner on issues affecting Burbage, such as road safety. This result shows yet again that people in Hinckley and Bosworth realise that if they want to get a change from the Conservatives the Lib Dems are best placed to beat the Conservatives here.”

Lib Dem leader of Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council Stuart Bray said “This result will send shockwaves through the Tory administration at Leicestershire County Council. Burbage people have given the Tories notice to quit”.
