Hinckley and Bosworth Liberal Democrat Councillors continue to oppose local government reorganisation

Cllr Michael Mullaney spoke at a recent Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council meeting outlining his continued opposition to plans for one authority for the whole of Leicestershire and oppose the expansion of Leicester City.

The government has paused the plans but they must drop them for good. They have already wasted huge amounts of time and money on the botched reorganisation whilst causing heartache and worry to many residents and council staff.

Until the government drop the plans we will continue to oppose them three ways:

• Oppose them at local councils Hinckley and Bosworth and Leicestershire County Council and others 
• Oppose them through public pressure and protests
• Oppose them through legal means including if necessary judicial review
