Hinckley and Bosworth Lib Dems slam decision on WASPI compensation

Responding to the Government announcing that there will be no compensation for WASPI women, Hinckley Lib Dem Councillor Michael Mullaney said:
“The Government have betrayed millions of pension-aged women, including many here in Leicestershire, who were wronged through no fault of their own.
“Ministers have completely ignored the recommendation from the independent ombudsman to offer compensation.
“Today’s heartless decision cannot be allowed to stand and I will be pressing the Government to give those affected the fair compensation they so badly deserve.”
