Barwell Community Centre

The proposed Community Centre to replace the Cedars will be built on land to the rear of Barwell Junior School. The centre, if built, has the potential to address some of our concerns here in Barwell. It will contain a library, sport facilities, meeting rooms and a youth facility. However, Sandra Francks has recently written to officers at County Council to raise concerns over its size, running costs and funding. A management Committee is to be formed to run the new facility.

Sandra Francks says, "The Cedars served Barwell community for many years and was fondly remembered by many residents, I hope the proposed scheme addresses the needs of this community."
